Sorry the long hiatus! It’s been a busy month for Andrea and I with new jobs, wedding planning and busy lives in general. Man how the time is flying. I can’t believe it’s already mid-February and we are two days away from Valentines Day! Now I know this is a sappy holiday invented by the greeting card industry, but I still love it. Any excuse to get dressed up in red or pink and spend a day eating candy and drinking cocktails… sign me up! And having a cute Valentine to spend my weekend with doesn’t hurt either. Add a three day weekend and it can’t get any better!
My fiancé always plans something fun to do on Valentines Day, since we are both slightly romantics. It’s never anything too crazy. It’s usually a nice dinner, movie or last year we went to a Brian McKnight concert. This year we have a day of wine tasting planned. So my outfit is obviously Valentines Day inspired, duh! And the small red heart print makes it even more fun and sassy. I mean, I would wear this to work any time of year, but the excuse to wear it for a night out and celebrate the day, why not!? Since we are out during the day, and it’s usually cold and rainy this time of year here in the northwest, I added a black sweatshirt to give this dress more of a casual look. Pair it with tights and booties and a red bag and the look is complete. And comfy to boot!
What are your plans for Valentines Day? What Valentine’s inspired look will you have this weekend?
