I’m excited to share my engagement photos with you today! We were having some scheduling conflicts with our wedding photographer, so Andrea was kind enough to step in and take some photos for us so we could get our save the date cards out on time. But I am so pleased with how they turned out that we probably won’t be taking actual engagement photos with our wedding photographer now.
If you haven’t noticed, I am kind of a glamour girl. So that was the theme I wanted for my engagement photos — and since red is one of my favorite colors, this dress was an easy pick. The fact that it was a satin fit-and-flare made it even more perfect! I threw on some leopard heels and gold jewelry to dress it up even more. I paired my fiancé Frank in a gray suit and a red tie so that we would compliment each other.
We decided to take our photos in front of the Museum of Glass, a Tacoma landmark that makes for amazing pictures with the contrasts of glass, concrete and water as a backdrop. I love this place, it truly is a beautiful spot in Tacoma! Definitely check it out if you’re in the area. Unfortunately, it was a very cloudy and drizzly day (hence the slight fizz effect to my hair), but you really can’t tell, and it actually made for great lighting for photos. And they turned out beautifully and captured us both exactly how I wanted. It makes me excited for the year ahead and the big day when I will marry this guy!
